Workers Compensation Insurance Area


Primary contact person or secondary for clients
Interface with client and agent on issue of policy issuance certificates of insurance, endorsements, posting notices, and workers comp bureau criticisms
Resolve State Insurance Board issues directly with the Board
Collect and review data from client for policy renewal
Responsible for recordkeeping of endorsements, cancellations, and new business
Prepare quarterly reports for large clients on claims
Liaison between the client and claims administrator on claims issues
Maintain vendor and A/R lists in accounting system
Facilitate quarterly billing
Responsible for collections of premium
Address audit issues with client and agent/carrier

Provide support by responding accurately and in a timely manner to all payroll inquiries and requests according to standard procedures
Process multiple payrolls for a large volume of employees including levies and garnishments
Prepare accounting transactions and documents related to payroll entries
Process off-cycle checks
Assist with preparation of payroll reports for senior management
Perform other payroll maintenance tasks including, filing, collating and data processing
Manage the processing of local, state and federal payroll tax filings and returns
Assist accounting in reconciliation of General Ledger accounts
Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations as well as standard corporate operating procedures
Interact with senior management and taxing authorities
Other special projects as assigned

To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 3 years payroll payroll tax experience in a high volume environment and solid knowledge of multi-state tax filing requirements. SAP experience and a Bachelor's degree is highly preferred. The successful candidate will be a member of the Tax Operations team responsible for processing tax withholding and reporting adjustments for Pension, IRA, and Insurance products, answering internal and external customer tax inquiries, and fulfilling external customer requests for tax withholding and/or tax reporting forms.   Specific tasks include but are not limited to:

Communicate with Participants, representatives, tax agencies, and internal customers on a variety of inquiries regarding taxation and reporting of retirement and survivor benefits.
Review, analyze, and process on-line tax related payment information into the various tax withholding and reporting systems to ensure accurate tax reporting information.
Review and interpret tax withholding and reporting rules and regulations mandated by the Internal Revenue Service, various state agencies, Canada Revenue Agency, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, applicable to pension & annuity and insurance payments.
Research, analyze, and document new or revised tax withholding and reporting regulations from the federal, state, Canadian, and Puerto Rico tax agencies.
Act as liaison with other divisions and Tax Operations teams regarding tax law changes and procedural issues.
Execute business and regulatory compliance responsibilities in meeting core functions.
Participate on departmental projects to streamline our functions and increase compliance controls.

Compensation: $12.00 to $14.00 per hour

Dynamic Greensboro company is in need of a strong, hard-working Accounts Payable Clerk. This 3 month assignment will include working with SAP to perform entering high level Accounts Payable invoices. Must have the ability to understand invoices and correct if needed. Experience in paying sales tax and withholding tax a plus. SAP experience a plus but not necessary. Strong ten key and Excel required.
