Systems QA Analyst who is responsible for testing activities surrounding MiddleWare applications,  a set of applications built on varying technologies (SOAP, XML, Web Services, TomCat) Participates in the all aspects fo the project life cycle, from analysis to production implementation, with emphasis on data analysis, system testing, regression testing, and auditable documentation of results. 

 


4-5 yrs work experience in the IT field


2 years experience in middleware testing


2 years experience in utilizing XML for SOAP webservices testing


2 years experience in creating test plans and test scenarios


2 year experience in testing Weblogic, Websphere or Tomcat applications CS degree Preferred Skill sets:


Strong usage of HP / Mercury Quality Center (requirements, test plan, test lab, and defect modules) Experience with Mindreef SoapScope Strong Experience with IBM ClearQuest


Experience with Green Hat (Solstice) Integra


 Experience with Hogan CIS mainframe, DB2

One of North America’s largest and most diverse Financial Services companies has a contract position available for a Web Systems Engineer. This position may sit in either Charlotte, NC or Minneapolis, MN.
Position Overview:
This is a senior-level position; therefore, the candidate will be expected to bring a full set of administrative skills to the table, specifically:
The ability to work in a structured change environment.
The ability to read standards documents and build/maintain environments to those standards.
A clear understanding of the limits of, and ability to collaboratively work on, platforms with shared administrative responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Web Systems Engineer:
Acts in a lead technical role providing technical guidance and consultation with Developers, clients and IT Management for Web Systems environments.
Provides the strategy and design for projects associated with web and eCommerce application installations, upgrades and deployments.
Utilizes advanced technologies and methods to integrate Web Systems with existing systems, enabling the creation of new or expanded web enterprises.
Develops new documentation and departmental technical procedures.
Directs the gathering of performance statistics to assist in determining hardware and communication tools needed to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets.
As an escalation point, provides guidance and direction to less-experienced staff in resolution of highly complex technical problems involving the maintenance and/or creation of web sites and eCommerce applications, as well as their integration into the existing systems environment.
Leads projects, allocates and manages resources, and manages the work of less experienced staff.
Assures that quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area(s).
Oversees creation/testing of or updates to the Business Continuation plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Schedule appointments and meet with buyers after contract signing to assist them in choosing selections for home

Meet with vendors and suppliers regarding new upgrades and options to sell to customers

Selection and design of field models and model homes

Complete appointments with appropriate customer follow-up

Explain, demonstrate and calculate pricing for buyer`s consideration on upgrade optional items.� Achieve maximum upgrade selection by buyer within parameters of the buyer`s financial capacity

Generate accurate paperwork on all selections

Maintain Design Center appearance
