Plant Manager – medical, machining, swiss lathe, milling
Growing division of a diversified, medium sized corporation is searching for a Plant Manager for their class I – III medical device facility. We are searching for a hands on Plant Manager with solid leadership skills and technical experience in production CNC machining, swiss CNC lathes, and CNC mills. Candidates will need 5 years plus of plant management / operations experience in a close tolerance machining environment. Strong production planning, scheduling, manufacturing systems, problem solving and leadership skills is a must for this position. The Plant Manager will function as a liaison between technical resources, quality, production and sales to ensure customer requirements are achieved. Experience reviewing and optimizing production schedules, work flow, associate utilization, machine capacity and establishing priorities is a must. The Plant Manager will need solid problem solving skills resolving both production and machine downtime issues. Past experience in a medical device contract manufacturer or medical device OEM is a huge plus. This position is a key part of the core management team and very involved in guiding the direction of this successful division. The company is looking for promotable candidates with the ability to move into a division manager role in the future. Knowledge of CNC turning, CNC milling, and swiss CNC lathes is a huge plus. This long time division produces medical instruments, implants and orthopedic medical devices. Hands on candidates with experience supporting the shop floor is required. The ideal candidate will have a BSME, technical machining and moved into a management position gaining experience in plant operations.
MUST HAVE: a minimum of 5 years in production management, solid leadership and technical skills in a precision cnc machining environment, along with swiss cnc lathes and mill experience. A B.S.M.E. or technical degree is strongly preferred. Medical machining is a huge plus.

TITLE: Receiving Lead
Position Summary
This is a lead position requiring an individual to directly coordinate day-to-day activities of warehouse employees to ensure that they maintain the required production levels, inventory accuracy, quality of putaways, and good housekeeping; all while meeting on time shipping requirements to ensure internal customer satisfaction.
Position Responsibilities:
The successful incumbent of this position will be responsible for assigning work, training, and supervising receiving personnel. They will respond to employee inquires and manage issues related to attendance, performance, safety, counseling, staffing, payroll, and documentation in accordance to company policy. The incumbent will prepare schedules and coordinate activities to ensure productivity and quality goals are met or exceeded to meet demands. Review and resolve issues related the system, maintenance, etc to ensure minimum cost and prevent delays to the customer.
The incumbent of this position will be a working lead and therefore become a Receiver when necessary. While a Receive, the incumbent will be responsible for:
Responsible for the verification of the item, the quantity and location to which the material is being transacted.
Responsible for consolidating any opened cartons when putting material away.
Responsible for ensuring that the location is neat and accurate when transaction has been completed.
When putting material away into the carton flow racks the receiver must make sure that the labels are facing the pickers and that the location is not overstocked.
Responsible for performing cycle counts when discrepancies are discovered and notifying the appropriate inventory control personal when necessary.
Responsible for identifying and placing all less than full cartons on the top layer before the material is transacted into the location.
It is the responsibility of any person who signs a bill of lading for any inbound trailer/container to ensure that the trailer is secure and locked down.
Maintain KPI Board
Shift change communication
Effectively communicate with associates during daily startup meetings to ensure they understand daily/weekly goals
Run print give out work
Check and record attendance daily
Monitor bell to bell start times, breaks, lunch, end of shift
Floor presence
Make sure the dock is clear of any hot items that need to be shipped each day
CPR/First Aid Training
Answer emails regarding receiving inquiries, Answer phone
Participate in 5S Audits (as applicable)
Make sure all equipment is plugged up at the end of the shift
Follow proper shutdown procedures
Train operators as needed
Ensure all team members are performing at 100% of standard
Ensure team meets daily CPL (cost per line) picked goal
Ensure proper safety and housekeeping standards are enforced and all associates are held to these standards
Position Requirements:
6-12 Months minimum in a Lead position at most recent previous employer
3 years experience in warehouse operations
1 year experience in RF technology a plus
High School diploma or equivalent
Certified to operate all powered industrial equipment
Possesses solid communication skills (both written and verbal)
Demonstrates a can do attitude and a sense of urgency
Must be quality and cost oriented.
Possesses the skills to effectively resolve operational and payroll issues.
Knowledge of Microsoft office, MS Excel and MS Word is a must, SAP a plus
